About MESA
What is MESA?
MESA stands for Middlebury Elementary School Association, and we aim to build a strong partnership between school and home. Together, we support the children, educators, and the school community. The money MESA raises through fundraising is channeled directly back to Mary Hogan. We fund field trips for each grade, educational opportunities, a wide array of activities, staff appreciation events, and provide resources that help all our students grow academically and emotionally.
What does MESA do?
MESA is dedicated to continuing the tradition of hosting Mary Hogan’s favorite events and introducing exciting new ones. From the Book Fair to family photoshoots, UVM Hockey and Lake Monsters baseball to family skating, rounds of mini golf, cookies and canvas painting party, an all-school field day, and an end-of-school dance party! We are committed to creating memorable experiences for our school community. This year, we are excited to host two new events: a CPR/First Aid community course and a community line dancing event.
How can I help?
MESA relies on volunteers to make a real impact, and we would love your help. We invite you to attend our monthly meetings on the third Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Mary Hogan Library. All are welcome, and it is an excellent opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, enjoy snacks, and form new friendships! If attending the meetings is not feasible, there are plenty of other ways to contribute. Please get in touch with us, and we will work together to find an opportunity that aligns with your skills and availability.
