Farm to School planning: May 3, 2025 inviting the larger community to green up clean up: Garden Shed arrival (timberframe); people who are carpenters who want to help would be good to know;
Artist in residency: has been amazing: each class had three opportunities to be with Jeh Kulu; can MESA fund an artist for follow-up;
Discussion about possible incoming students from Stonecrop development, Ripton, etc. for 2025-26;
McGilton for next year we don’t think KEEC will be covered by it since it is built into the budget; maybe that money could be used for artist in residence or the playground upgrades;
Call the governor about free and reduced lunch; 20% of menu will be harvest of the month;
Education change plan that is pitched by Gov. Scott: area about funding, curriculum, guidance; changes possible at the state level. Federal rules and state rules, education quality standards going into effect this summer; Wendy sent home communication that the district is still hiring staff for DEI; kids are scared about ICE and restrictions against non-binary identifiers;
Bake Sale for student council; baking after school next Friday, baking cookies; sold at line dancing; look for coolers for water and disposable;
Shaws is looking to donate to the school; Adrienne thinks muffins, juice, danishes for the promotion breakfast;
Working with college football coach for mentoring; exhibition mentors or having lunch with kids; 50 college students; modeling how to be in the world and behavior; go to games in fall;

- Lianne was going to ask her father who is DJ; fifth graders get an extra hour (7-8pm);

- Adrienne booking in April or May; looking at May 18;
- Discuss Opening Revolution Basketball Concessions
- Asked Amber today; this adult tournament made a mess with concessions so we could possibly do it; we don’t think we can do it this year bandwidth wise;

- Rikert trip for students; Jen says we didn’t have the full funding this year so choices were made (skating with buddies instead of skiing); In the past snow coverage was an issue in both January and March; There was a one time adjustment of the McGilton fund distributing in March, which is confusing for budgeting for the whole year; This year has to pay for two KEECs because it covers the whole school year;
